How to Make a UGC Ad Without Filming Anything

· FinalTake

A UGC ad needs a hook, a presenter, the product on screen and captions. Here is how to get all four without a shoot, and what to check before you spend credits.

What a UGC ad actually needs

Strip away the word "creator" and a UGC ad is four things: a hook in the first seconds, a person talking to camera, the product visibly in use, and captions for people watching with the sound off. The filming was only ever the way to get those four things.

That is why an AI studio can replace the shoot without replacing the ad. You still have to decide the hook and the claim. What you skip is the casting call, the courier, the reshoots and the edit.

Start from what you already have

You do not need a finished script. A one-line brief, a product page link or a script you already wrote is enough to start. The Director asks the few questions it needs, then writes the script and lays it out as a storyboard: scenes, presenter, product shots and captions.

The storyboard is the useful part. It is the whole ad on one page before anything is generated, so you can cut a weak scene or rewrite the hook by sending a message instead of re-shooting.

Approve the plan, then generate

Nothing is generated until you approve the plan, and the credit cost is shown before you do. That order matters: the cheap moment to change your mind is while the ad is still a plan.

Once you approve, the presenter is lip-synced to the script, product and b-roll scenes are shot from the storyboard, and the cut is rendered with captions burned in.

What it costs

FinalTake charges by finished length. At 1080p with the render included, a 15s reel is 32 credits, a 30s ad is 62 credits and a 60s explainer is 122 credits. Start free with 100 credits and no card, which is enough to see a real ad come out before you pay for anything. Paid plans start at $29 a month.

Check before you post

Watch it once on mute. If the hook and the product are still clear from the captions alone, the ad works for the majority of people who will see it that way. Then check the claim: an ad can only promise what your product does.

FAQs

Do I need a script before I start?
No. You can start from a one-line brief, a product link or a finished script. The Director drafts the script and you edit it in the storyboard.
Can I see the ad before I pay for it to be generated?
You see the full plan and its credit cost before anything is generated, and nothing generates until you approve it. New accounts start with 100 free credits.
Will it look like a stock avatar video?
The presenter, product shots and b-roll are directed per scene from your storyboard, so the ad follows your brief and your product rather than a template.
